2. Asbestos gaskets have higher mechanical strength than non asbestos gaskets. Currently, the direct affinity between various asbestos free mineral fibers and rubber substrates is not as good as asbestos, so the adhesive strength of rubber fibers is not as good as asbestos. (2) Asbestos fibers can be almost infinitely subdivided, with a greater specific surface area than asbestos free mineral fibers, and significant reinforcement effects. (3) The tensile strength of asbestos fibers is higher than that of non asbestos fibers, so the reinforcement effect of asbestos fibers is significant.
3. Asbestos free gaskets have better compactness than asbestos gaskets. Due to the high content of asbestos free gasket filler and varying particle sizes, it can fill the micro gaps of rubber fibers.
